What method of cleaning do you use?

As professionals, we are trained in using all of the cleaning methods including “green cleaning”. We normally use the method recommended/required by the carpet manufacturer. In most cases this will be hot water extraction, also known as steam cleaning.

How often should I have my carpets cleaned?

The carpet mills recommend annual professional cleaning for residential carpets. The other variables you should consider are the color and style of your carpet, amount of use, and any health related concerns of family members.

Will cleaning cause my carpets to re-soil faster?

No. We use the best cleaning solutions and cleaning procedures. Our solutions are formulated to not cause re-soiling and our procedures leave minimal residue, leaving your carpet soft and clean.

What should we do before you arrive?

Thoroughly vacuum all areas with a new bag and make sure to detail along the edges where dust collects. Also remove any furniture you would like us to clean under, otherwise we will clean all open areas. Please secure your pets in a safe area out of harm’s way. We love them but cannot be responsible for them.

How long to dry?

Most of the dirt in your carpet is dry, particulate soils which can be removed with a good, thorough dry vacuuming. After that we only need to remove the greasy stuff and wet spills. Our cleaning agents reduce the amount of water required. We clean your stairs and upholstery with specially engineered low-moisture tools and a powerful extraction machine assuring they dry quickly about 2 to 8 hours.

When can we walk on the clean carpet?

It takes about an hour to clean 3 to 4 areas. While we recommend letting it dry a couple of hours before putting it back into use, you can walk on it immediately with clean socks or shoes. Avoid dirty shoes as the dirt will wipe off your freshly cleaned carpet. Always exercise CAUTION when walking from damp carpet onto adjoining hard surfaces as your shoes will be slippery. Please watch your step!

Will the spots come back?

You know what they say, “Never say never,” so while we’re confident in saying it’s rare, it’s not impossible. If spots do return, so will we. Just give us a call and we’ll treat the spot again.

Will my carpet look like new?

We’ll do our best to make it look like new, unfortunately, normal wear and tear causes gradual damage cleaning can’t resolve. Please let us know of any concerns. Again, we’ll do our best to help you know what to expect from a good, thorough cleaning before we start.

Does cleaning remove the stain protection from my carpet?

No. The primary cause of loss of carpet protector is the daily foot traffic and use of the carpet. Carpet protector is a clear coating on a flexible fiber. Over time, the flexing of the carpet fibers will cause the protector to flake off.

Is it good to value to restore the carpet protection?

Yes. The fiber manufacturers put protector on the carpet to resist soiling. Protector wears off due to normal use. Restoring the protector will keep your carpets looking clean longer.

Can you remove pet urine spots and stains from my carpet?

Urine spot restoration can be a complicated procedure. The type of carpet and the degree of contamination greatly affects the outcome. Often we are able to achieve very satisfactory results using new topical solutions and treatments.

Are your cleaning solutions safe for my family?
